An Assumption

Never assume the obvious is true – William Safire

Today, I was surprised in the class of Communication. Why? Because the lecturer was changed. It was not Dr. Csilia, but she was a doctoral student. Where was our real lecturer? Oh, She sit in the front row next to other students.

This lecturer attracted us because she was a lady wearing hijab and Pakistani as well. She had a unique pronounciacence and fast talking. Moreover, she tried to take our attention to her explanation. She explained those super-bored-theories with the ridiculous examples, so we were able to understand what she said.

An assumption, it became the one of her explanation that made me interested in. At the almost last minutes of the lecturer, suddenly she drew a circle in the board and she said, “what is this?” while she pointed and knocked the board. Almost all of students answered with their opinion, such as circle, ball, donuts, and so on. This teacher was not satisfied with our answer, until she said, “Students, I pointed and knocked this board, does it means I referred to my graph? It is called an assumption. All of you people have different assumption with me”. All students were quite after paying attention to her explanation. Oh, my God, this was true!

If I reflected in the real life, there many people who debate each other because every single head has their own assumption, opinion, and point of view. Sometimes, I think it is very prominent to make a coffee talk to discuss our opinion.

PS: Because I was late for 10 minutes, I missed to know her name.

Köszönöm
